We're trying not to ask that question - to be fair, I don't think she quite realised how much we had been looking after him - if we'd have known she was looking to rehome, we would have had that conversation with her - poor guy even ended up on Gumtree at one stage!

I'm just glad I was working from home yesterday, as if he had been out for the day the consequences don;t bear thinking about.

Main thing is though, Kitty seems more than happy with the arrangement. As far as we can tell anyway, he's spent most of the intervening time asleep

Get it in writing from her that you are now owned not her, & that chip registered to you ASAP!!!
