That would be awesome just not now and not with my baby Jean.

Surely it is not inevitable when we are in they are mostly upstairs and downstairs separated by two gates.

When out they are in crates.

Logan's got a glazed look in his eyes and pants all day long jean just drops on the floor whenever he's near.
He's trying none stop to mount her any second they are together toilet brakes etc

Reminds me of me when I was 17.
We are keeping them mostly Apart. With my father in hospital and her mother I'll we have no other options seems ok so far

Logan keeps standing with his neck stretched out and a stupid look in his eyes like he did when he met his first acd bh ( who was jeans mother ) pics on the pics thread ages ago

How many days in is she now (this could be vital) I do feel very sorry for Logan, this will be torturous for him :/!

While he's probably finding it tough he's fine. Take him on a walk, tennis ball or play.

9 or so days I think. How much longer?

This is how he looks when she's near. This is Jean mum by the way.

Strangely he's very relaxed these days. Jean has a calming influence on him. ( well not at the moment)

Both on a walk yesterday they were just running around playing as normal. It's only at home he tries to mount her.

Season generally lasts 3 weeks. I would be on extra guard in the coming days. Approximately 10-14days (often longer) into to the season the female becomes receptive to the males advances and will allow him to approach. Jean may stop lying down and turning her rear end towards him. He won't take more persuasion than that!

My hope is her age may stop her reacting as a more mature female would but certainly wouldn't bank on it!!

Last couple of days noticeably easier for Logan he's still sniffing around but nonchalantly not hyper.

Was a bit odd this morning very bad mood. He's never in a bad mood, I'm wondering if a bit of jealousy is setting in, she is a bit of a steamroller.

He's lost all interest in her. Not folllowing her around anymore does that mean it's safe to leave them?

Sometimes I think I must be thick. The Twilight reference has just made me realise why their names seemed familiar. Is it a coincidence that they are names of Xmen characters?!!

Well I've just read this thread...I had Freya booked in for Monday as I'm off for two weeks. However, that would make her just over five months old and before her first season...so I'll cancel and wait for the summer holidays (dependant on when she actually goes into season).

I shouldn't have a problem keeping her away from other dogs...

Is there much cleaning when she's in season? I'm a bit naive of these things.

Usually a first season isn't that obvious so not too much to clean and she will usually try to keep herself clean but as with everything in nature some may bleed more and so Bedding may need washing and protect sofas etc if needed!
