The instructions state it takes up to 3 weeks to work fully and to treat him weekly. There's no mention of Bath time ; should he be treated after a bath ? He loves his baths.
How often are you bathing him? As Bex has said, overly-frequent baths are not necessarily a good thing - they can actually cause more problems than they solve.

I don't bath my dogs very much at all, never have. I realise that they've been short coated but so are bulldogs wink

Bulldog that likes baths?

Must be a fake, I think you've been sold a pup.

He has had 5 baths in 3 weeks , he really loves the warm water and the hair dryer afterwards. I shall take some pics.

That seems a lot to me, none of my dogs have had 5 baths in their whole lives. Is it just because of the allergy issue that you've felt it necessary to bath him that frequently?

Yes initially because we thought we should, then all the others because the shampoo off the vet advised every 3 days including keeping his feet in the water for a minimum of 10 minutes. Although it's not a hardship he thrives on the attention.

Medical bathing has different rules and often needs more frequent than the norm, in which case follow the vets advise for now. What shampoo just out of interest?

Normal shampooing for a dog with no skin issues etc should be infrequent (may be 4x a yr unless rolled in something!!

hehe yes. My two would rarely need washing if it weren't for their love of rolling in all sorts of nastiness!!

He's back to normal this morning, he did have a 15mins playtime with 2 French bulldogs yesterday maybe they tired him more than I realised. He doesn't have great stamina yet I don't think.
Glad to read this

I also think we need some more photos

Then vet prescribed malaseb.
I apologise for the lack of photos I will remedy this.

Thought it would be Malaseb smile. You may be able to reduce it too weekly soon but check with his vet first obviously!

He is growing fast! He looks huge in the top pic!
