There is a 5mg dose too.
Murph started at 15mg, which meant a 10mg tablet and a 5mg tablet daily, he has them in his morning food. For reasons I don't understand this meant 2 prescription costs, £13 for the first prescription and £10 for the second.. First bill was £125, though we worked out if we did it online, with prescription costs it would be around the £100 mark. We decided not to go down the online route until we'd stabilised the dose.
Vet has now decided to double the dose to 30mg, which reduced the costs a fair bit. One tablet, one prescription and I was charged £87 yesterday when I collected that. Again, online will bring it down to about £70 we think.
Back in next week to see how he's doing on that.
Mine is on 30mg, but twice a day, so we have to order 60 (2 packs) to get through a month. Cost is £103 from Pet Drugs Online. Prescription from our present vets has 6 repeats for my £18, so £3 a month, the previous vet only did 3 repeats and charged just over £20.Murph started at 15mg, which meant a 10mg tablet and a 5mg tablet daily, he has them in his morning food. Did someone say smelly?
We've noticed that Cookie has been getting a bit "doggie" for a wee while. Doesn't bother me as she sleeps with Mrs. 404 not me but clearly it's time for the semiannal B.A.T.H. and an equitable division of tasks.
BAD, NASTY DADDY...
Good, Nice Mother plays the Towel Game.
Ooh, Cookie - you smell NICE!!
I wrote this post about half an hour ago but I was suddenly interrupted by a racket in the upstairs landing.
A starling had somehow found a way in and was causing mayhem with the landing lamps and knocking down some loose plaster.
All sorted out now and the bird is free and unhurt.
Never a dull moment here.

Yes, that was little Roy.I remember you nursing a baby bat a while back!
Amazing how a creature that grew to about five or six grams can completely rule the entire household!
Our beautiful boy. I think of him often and we still have his portrait on the wall.
I want all the dogs. I want all the cats too. I’d be so happy having a few acres and a caravan to be able to spend my days loving them.
In the meantime Seth and I have had one of the most traumatic/upsetting weeks at work (I’d say in a decade for me) with several deaths, another guard of honour today for a funeral, and several other emergencies and end of life situations that are pending. He’s been amazing through it all as always. Met many paramedics, families, lots of children and has brought comfort to everyone.
We were off to the Peak District this weekend but have postponed for a couple of weeks. He’s booked his first sick day for Monday as he’s in the vets for ‘the op’. I’ve never been worried over something so routine as I am with him! And I’ve done this many times with dogs and rescue cats.

We’re on the boat this weekend and will make it extra special for him. Wood burner lit, lots of love and country walks.
