Ours do something similar, we bought a few beds for them (and they've commandeered certain chairs, boxes, corners, shelves etc for themselves) but particularly in winter they huddle up on the bathroom floor - knew there was a reason we got underfloor heating

Yeah, ours have also taken to sleeping in their carry-boxes since we left the door of one open one time after getting back from the cattery. So they'll climb in and have a snooze quite the thing but see trying to get them into them when it's time for the V.E.T. or the cattery? Very different story!
