Wow, can't believe some people on here are so delicate and sensitive. That advert is great, very amusing and a good ending.

I've had cats for all of my 30 years and still go soppy over them all the time but that advert is amusing. It's not real folks, the cat wasn't really hurt, it's all done with computery wizardry!
Agree. Can't believe people take life so seriously.

They are absolutely gorgeous cloud9

Think Mrs H must be a little confused or she's been mis-sold though! Tonkinese and Ragdolls are two completely separate breeds, unless she means kitten is a cross? And kitten on the right is very much a common tabby. Beautiful anyway!

How about if they beat it with a plank? That would be even funnier. I mean, it's not real. You could make it even more hilarious if it had fake blood spurting out.

But they don't do they. Probably because that would be bizarrely gratuitous and unnecessary and wouldn't help them sell any. And why would they beat it with a plank? The whole joke is that the cat is intentionally hurting itself (though you don't really see this, it's all implied - probably because it's a humorous advert). It would struggle to beat itself with a plank, it has no thumbs to hold it for starters.

Anyway, it still wouldn't be all that shocking (there's far worse in most PG or higher films) but it would be oddly inappropriate and not much of a joke.

I don't think there is any point in arguing about it, some people will see that advert as being a bit (or a lot) off, and others will not. I'm in the first category.

Haha.. Wouldn`t be at all surprised. Yes he is a cross, he certainly sounds it. Noisy little bleeder.hehe Apparently the tabby has some Bengal input but not alot by the sounds of it. They weren`t expensive though so no matter.

It turns out Oscar is an absolute ankle-biter, and has the roughest tongue this side of a tiger.

Still, he's enjoying playtime. The two elder cats are still taking time coming to terms with him being there, but softly softly catchy monkey, and all that.
