I'm sorry for your loss.

But I'll take 9 months of love, food and cuddles over some alternatives.

I know scraggy and will not survive on his cocktail of drugs for ever. But consider it quality over quantity that matters in life. smile

Thanks for all your kind thoughts.

Been giving lots of cuddles to his sister, Rosie, who is missing her playmate frown

Sorry, it's a hard time when that happens.

I've had three cats and all three were run over before they were about a year old. The first two didn't make it but the third one did. I watched him get run over and thought 'that's it' but he got away with two broken legs and a bloody nose. I got him patched up and he's still here 18 odd years later.

It seems that if a Cat is going to hurt themselves them it's about a year to 18 months when it happens. Almost as if they have the Kitten in them still without the cautiousness of an older cat.

I've had a bit of a 'wobble' the last two days with Bob frown

Yesterday evening about 7PM, one of my neighbours' cars – unfortunately I didn’t see which one – came hooning up the driveway in a cloud of dust. Shortly afterwards, Bob came in limping.

All the signs point to having been clipped by a car. He's been reluctant to stand or walk, and very subdued. Clearly in pain. frown

Thankfully the vet thinks nothing's broken and it is just bruising. He's had a thorough going over, a jab of Metacam, Metacam oral syrup to take away, and a jab of Vetergesic. He's stoned, I can tell. nuts

Thankfully all of this - and to be seen out of hours at a moment's notice - was only £83. Right now, I need a large vet bill like I need a second head.

Gayton Veterinary Group in Redhill. I honestly couldn't recommend them highly enough for their service, and at reasonable prices too. smile

One very happy Bob (and servant.)

She does malevolence well, but she's actually very affectionate to the point of being clingy. And licky.
