Hate to be pedantic but Cats are long sighted for Prey spotting.
Mine seems to have eagle eye vision when it comes to swiping food from my plate.........
Ours just has THAT paw. You all know what I mean.

We very sadly lost a young kitten to an RTA last Christmas. It hit us all quite hard and my wife was dead set against having another.

We have finally decided to cave in and home another cat - her half-brother. The owner (a family friend) of the mother cat was very insistent that we should have one from the next litter. she picked out her favorite for us.

This one is pure Ragdoll (the last one was fathered by a rather opportunistic moggy).

Name undecided as yet but the working title is "Sherlock", or "Purrlock Holmes". Or "Waffles Frou-Frou Fluffington III" (if my eldest daughter has her way)
