Had to take Max to the vets yesterday noticed his 3rd eyelids were out a lot the last couple of days along with him being a bit subdued, turns out he has a stomach bug no issues with his eyes but they noticed his bum was a bit raw.

He got a steroid injection and some different food to take.

We used to have a lovely little tabby boy whose third eyelid was like that when he was poorly. He was ill for a long time and baffled the vets - pleased their bank manager though - but he recovered all on his own after various tests came up with nothing.

Halloween Henry. 19 years old, he died in May, but as you can see, he was always fond of this time of year.

He looks like a lovely cat. Sorry for your loss.

I'm still missing my boy the Mog, we lost him a couple of years ago but I haven't quite yet felt up to posting anything about him. I will soon.

Exotic Shorthair - basically a mix of a Persian and and American Shorthair because a Persian's long coat is a PITA to maintain. Their coat is still quite a deep pile, but is much more manageable.

They are really stupid though, chasing anything that moves, whether a leaf, woodlouse or a squirrel. They're mostly kept indoors and are only allowed in the garden under supervision as they have no common sense - i.e. too friendly to realise that a fox, badger or angry visiting cat would mutilate them until it's too late.

When we went to Sliema In Malta we spent most of the holiday in the cat gardens outside our hotel.

I think the stupidity must be an inbreeding thing as my British Shorthair is incredibly dumb sometimes!

That cats expression is basically saying,

Haha I am so lucky he's such a laid back cat - I think it's because he's part ragdoll

my turn for the room to be a little dusty...

Spike is going to have to be PTS angel tomorrow - 15 years old, still seems ok, but the last few months has been acting a little strange (kidney disease). Vet today has advised that this is it weepingweeping

I know the feeling all to well, there's nothing to say apart from many of us can feel that feeling in the pit of our stomachs.
