A mates cat passed on monday after being poorly all weekend. He passed at home on a windowsil all curled up which is probably the nicest way Ive heard of a cat passing. Happy warm and at home.

Can't face having to make that decision & get the vet out to do it (ours hate going in the car so don't want their final hours made even worse).
I ended up taking my 13 year old queen to the vets in 2002 to have the deed done.
She started having fits around 4pm on a saturday so we phoned a vets, they did tests which came back as kidny failure amungs other things.
I was told it would be cruel to keep her alive any longer so she was put to sleep around 11pm that night, she was a right stroppy cow that didn't like anyone but me, she wouldn't let the vet anywhere near her when the time came so I had her on shoulder while the vet did his job.
I felt her go limp and then cried my eyes out like a f
kin big baby for what seemed like hours, I sat with her for a couple of hours before leaving her curled up on the vets bench....
...And some people will say its only a cat.

. (im not BTW)I honestly enjoy getting out the car and seeing him on the step meowing at me to "hurry up let me in" the 20 mins of his undivided attention. Hes all registered in BH name but without a doubt hes my cat.
Don't know what I'd be like when my two cats shuffle off - they are knocking on a bit now.To lighten the mood a little here is a picture of my eldest boy Ted (13 years) with my youngest boy (8 months)
Ted looks displeased with the new human - but no so displeased that he would actually get up and move!
