That's a shame, poor Moggie.

I had to have Leela put down on New Years Day this year - she was 13 1/2 years old. Wasn't a very good start to the year...

Miss her a lot. Her brother doesn't though...

I asked our cat Chester to be one of those cats on the internet so I could post it.

So he decided the router was warm enough for his bum and the broadband modem warm enough for the front end.

Not quite what I had in mind.
Cookie likes being on the internet too (or at least using it as a pillow):

We recently learned our old lady has an over active thyroid so she's been struggling to keep food down. On tablets at the moment which if they do the job could be a rest-of-life treatment. Still it doesn't seem to be bothering her, took this just now

We had Scraggy on tablets for a couple of years after he adopted us.

It's all good until they decide they don't want to take it. It was a continuous battle to find new and inventive ways to hide them in food.

Get some of these:

Break a bit off the end and slice it open with your fingernail. Put the tablet inside and squash it together.

One of ours was on steroids for four years and never had a problem giving him tablets that way.

So far we've tried chicken breast pieces, tuna flakes and bacon. Tuna falls apart too easily, bacon won't hold the tablet, she spat it out twice last night. Chicken is great because you can force it into a piece and she has no idea

We did this for years with our girl who was on Thyroid tablets, worked a treat if you pardon the pun smile

I use a pill crusher to crush my cat's pills, and then mix it with cream cheese.

Both of my cats loved that - although if one had cheese, the other had to have it too.

And as Leela ate hers so much quicker than Kif, I had to give Leela twice as much, and put it thinly all over the plate so she wouldn't go and eat Kif's (who would normally be on antibiotics more often than her).

What's the story with his ears? Was he a stray for a while?

Yes he has been a stray for some time, someone recently took him in and had him neutered and wanted to keep him but sadly their own cat didn't approve so was given to us at the rescue. we think he could be as old as 8-10 years, so all those years who knows what he has been through, but a fair few scraps looking at the tattered ears. such a loving big boy, he wolfs down his food and loves a good fuss, once advertised I know he will be snapped up!

Sorry they're all sideways!
