Fair to say that Monty approves of the log burner we had fitted last week.

^^^Monty looks rather comfortable

Despite having various beds (of his own and the dogs) Grady Gilbert has found the perfect size cardboard box...

That cat has a real "not sure if serious" face.

Cat's food on the worktop, are there dogs in that household? That's the usual reason.

Yep
Dogs and toddlers mean the safest place for the food is one of the work surfaces in the utility room.
He's a great cat and very vocal.
Tried to get a pic of his sister but she was moving too fast.

Oi! Basil! Get off my roof, and leave the birds alone you murdering oaf!

Thankfully, so far he's only taken wood pigeons as far as we can tell, and he tends to leave them in his own back garden. But he best leave the thrushes and other small birds alone, or I'll post him to Syria, the cheeky wee fecker.

Nah. He's just 'puffed his chest out' a bit.

Another neighbour has a skinny 14 year-old ginger tom who is the real ruler of the roost around here. I caught Basil hiding behind a bush in our front garden the other day, after scurrying there rather sharpish. Then the older tom trotted up the pavement, and it appeared that he was looking for something (or someone).

Poor old Basil. He thinks he's 'hard' but sadly he doesn't walk the walk so to speak. A big softy, really.

Thanks!

Here they are trying out their new walking harnesses for the first time. Pretty bloody funny watching them switch between statues,, being drunk and haring around after each other. Echo (The brown) was seemingly mocking Ishka for having it on - soon stopped when she had hers put on mind!

First try

A little adjustment later

One plots revenge, the other's just a little dissapointed in us!

Reckon we'll have them outside within the fortnight! biggrin
Where did you get the harness from?

Our much missed ginger queen Alice, who we lost tragically under anaesthetic earlier this year

And her party piece, the reverse dismount back flip with added pike

Pretty bad website that sometimes fails to load but they seem to be decent little harnesses so far. Seems the kittens are slowly adjusting / getting used to them. Will need to get the leads soon!

Nice one, thanks.

I've been looking for a couple for a while but none so far have looked too robust... they look just the job.

Hope you're getting on with your two Bengals. They can be hard work but absolutely worth it. Never known creatures like them.

Well that was a crap day.

My wife phoned in a panic at lunchtime to say the cat was lying on the dining roomfloor with blood all round his mouth. Rushed to meet her at the vets but he was dead when they checked him. Looks like was hit by a car at the front of the house, as I found his collar in the road, and managed to get back inside.

RIP Alfie frown

sorry to hear that frown

To try and cheer things up a little... once our renovation is done we'll be looking for a kitten to keep Tigger company (Demi isn't friendly frown) so there'll be fun to be had together with anticipating much cuteness laugh Have decided on a Maine Coon (or MC-cross) but ideally are going to be looking at one that isn't cat show suitable due to colouration etc (one because shows aren't us and two because that'll be a lot cheaper!!! lol)

So glad we've decided to keep ours indoors. I know I copped flack for it but I'd much rather that than having to write one of those posts. Sorry for your loss dude.
