They look very similar to our Kira.Sadly she's now been missing since Sunday. She's only been out of the new house for 5 weeks or so but seemed settled but with no sign, no miaows anywhere, signs are now up on the lampposts and we've got fingers crossed she's just lost and will resurface soon!

Monster cat vanished for just under a week a few years ago and our other cat went AWOL for 4 days last week before reappearing as if nothing had happened
Fingers crossed here as well
Some good news, she came back in about 5am this morning, cold and hungry, but no injuries!
Currently in the 3rd hour of being very fussy/friendly having had a kip.
To be honest having had an awful year with losing my mum amongst other stuff, I was not very well prepared to accept the worst and was all over the place yesterday trying to search for her. She's gonna get a bumper Xmas this year!

It's unnerving when it happens but it seems to be so very common.
I used to think they got themselves shut in a shed or garage by accident, but now I think they do it entirely on purpose.

I'm afraid cats do this. And then they turn up as if nothing has happened, complete with a look that says "what?"

Even indoor cats can get in on the action - a few weeks back I was going out of my mind as I couldn't find KaraK-cat. I dashed around the house with a rising panic calling her, shaking treats, food, toys - everything that normally has her coming running. I'd looked in cupboards that she likes to sneak in, under the bed, in the washing machine etc. Until eventually I found her squeezed into an impossibly small gap behind my bedside cabinet. Just her face was visible and she was just staring up at me as if to say "oh.. didn't you realise I was here?" It's unnerving when it happens but it seems to be so very common.

I moved house once and lost one of our cats, I knew she wasn't outside because I was too careful to allow that.
Didn't find her until I happened to open one of the kitchen drawers, she had managed to climb up inside the cabinet and wiggle into it. Pretty much filled the drawer too.
Cats know when you are moving house and they don't like it. They fear being left behind.Didn't find her until I happened to open one of the kitchen drawers, she had managed to climb up inside the cabinet and wiggle into it. Pretty much filled the drawer too.

I bet she is tired from all the fuss she has had all day!!
Great stuff.
Willow took bad on Sunday morning being sick all over the kitchen floor, she didn't eat anything from Sunday morning until we took her to the vets Wednesday morning.
Went to the vets after work and saw her in a cage with a drip in her paw. I was told they had to sedate her for everyone's safety (she's as feisty as anything I have ever seen at the best of times apart from when she's with me)
She was kept in overnight for observations and on a drip to rehydrate her. I spoke to the vet about 11am and was told that she has improved a lot but would still not eat anything, I was also told they were going to have to sedate her again because she was going wild when they tried to remove the drip. While sedated they have done an x ray where there appears to be a "foreign object" in her bowl.
She will be getting operated on now as I type this, dunno why I am sharing this as I am not emotional at all but I'm sitting here feeling sick to the stomach.
