I had a cat called Cat once. It was/had been a stray and Cat seemed to suit it somehow.

I had no idea!

'Thunderbuttocks III' doesn't have quite the same finesse does it...

So he's gone to play in the garden with the chickens and the bees.

how long have you been keeping bees?

does it take much work?

eta - does that cat bother them and do they bother the cat?
We don't have a proper hive at the moment as our garden is too small. Friends of ours do though, and it's great - very easy to keep, they don't even wear their suits most of the time as they very rarely get stung.

We have a bunch of solitary bee houses, and grow things like lavender and rosemary specifically to attract them. They haven't pollinated our cherry tree yet though!

The cat likes to try and catch them. I've not seen him get one yet, but we've only had him 6 weeks...
Sorry to go off topic. To learn about bee keeping look on this website: http://www.bbka.org.uk/about/local_associations/fi... to find your local association and they will be able to give you all the information you need to know.

New additions to Bacardi Hall on Thursday, Ratbag 1 and Ratbag 2. About 12 weeks old, he, the black and white, is soft as a brush, she, the taby, bit timid and bit stroppy (typical female wink), but I'm working on her. smile
