This is what I woke up to the other morning. Most people get dead animals.

I get a stick. Stoopid cat.
Mine once brought home a spoon hehe
We get rusty nails, where he finds them I've no idea.

He's pulling them out of the wall with his teeth in an escape attempt.

We often get frogs and toads brought in to play with, once we had a goldfish. This morning I had the same starling twice. I rescued it and it seemed OK so I let it go, as it flew off the cat shot out of the catflap after it, 5 minutes later it's back inside so I had to let the cat have it as a light snack.

All I get is sopping wet (with drool) catnip toys.

I had an box from amazon up on the counter the other day while I was unpacking it, and unpacking the individual bits'n'bobs. Wasn't really paying attention to the box, apart from vaguely noting that it was swarming with cats, as they often do when there's something new, and thus either exciting or scary.

I then heard the crackle of tearing cellophane...at which point I remembered I'd included a catnip banana for them. Arse. Gone before I could get there. Rediscovered the next morning, dripping wet, on the bed.

Not seen it since, no idea where they've hidden it.

Yes. So much I almost drowned the 1st time he sat on my lap. Great big strings of it.

He's actually doing it less now he's settled in the family. But when he was the local stray he was SO HAPPY to be given attention he would drool non stop.

Worse is when they collect a whole mouthful, then shake their head violently sending a spray in all directions...

Nothing compared to a dog though, which is just a hairy suitcase of wallpaper paste.

Back in the 70's, my parent's cat (he was a proper green eyed black cat) went through a phase of bringing back tulips, complete with neatly trimmed stem.

It was only when the neighbour (an avid gardner) mentioned that his tulips were going missing that they realised where they were coming from (the vases of tulips in the windows were hastily hidden from view)

OH's cats have suddenly decided that they are Andrex cats!
Starting last Saturday they have been stealing toilet rolls from the bathroom and bringing them into the bedroom and shredding them all around us!
They have never been interested before???
The only thing we can think of is that they used to eat the Aloe Vera plant we had. They totally killed it so we threw it out. The toilet rolls they have started attacking are Aloe Vera ones!!! Maybe they are hooked??

Our Spud does this all the time with the toilet rolls. We always try and keep him out the toilet but forget sometimes and come home to find the toilet rolls shredded to pieces and lying everywhere. He does it with paper as well. We have a unit in the hall which has loads of magazines, recipes, other papers etc and if he gets the cupboard doors open he will go in and shred everything so we have to keep remembering to block the doors with something in the morning which always makes the hall look untidy. We still always forgive him though....

Seems the recent sun and heat has got to my two.

Ebony decided the best thing to do yersterday was sleep, sleep, and maybe stretch a little:

And Poppy decided to make a break for it into the much cooler garage:
