Must try harder the cat to box size ratio is all wrong. Those boxes are far too big!! Moglet won't even bother trying to sit in a box unless it's half as big as it needs to be to get his fat ass in it!shep1001 said:

Ended up taking one of ours into the ER on Sunday.
Not TOO serious, 'just' diarrhoea(been ongoing for a while, flared up, changed some things, died down, flared up again, changed some more things, died down, etc. Was medicated, but the medication ended), but with a pregnant wife, that's not a popular or good thing.
What a colossal ballsup.
We were there 4 hours, during which time-
1. they tried and failed to get her blood work done, because:
i. she bit one of the three techs trying to restrain her!
ii. she shat on another!
iii. she had to be sedated.
2. they then successfully sedated her.
3. got blood work done - negative for anything interesting, so
4. got the same pills again(part of the desired result), and told to come back Monday.
When we got the original prescription, we were told to keep an eye on her once it finished and see if it re-occurred. If so, an ultrasound would be necessary, hence coming back Monday (other part of the desired result).
Monday was much more sedate, with 'the cat whisperer' in attendance, and a mandatory sedation. Plus a happier, medicated cat with tighter bowels.
Nothing of any interest on the ultrasound, fortunately, so it's likely to be Inflammatory Bowel Disease, controllable by drugs. Other options could have been cancer or an obstruction, so we're counting ourselves lucky there.
We got called back with the good news when we were on our way to the wife's ultrasound, which was amusing.
As was the shaving for the Ultrasound:

well there has been another addition to Iroc Towers - Harvey, 5 year old part maine coon looks more teddy bear than cat and is quite chunky. Came from one of my best mates who felt it wasn't fair that Harvey was becoming an outdoor cat. Has a purrrrr on him and loves being stroked and held
some crappy pics for now (showing the 'delightful' decor - hopefully the refurb is about 1 month away, it really can't start too soon now!!!!!!)

Meet Nelson...
He's a stray that has been visiting my mum and dad. He's called Nelson because of his eye. You can just about see his left eye is a bit manky. It's much darker than the right - I don't know whether he is blind in that eye. They have been talking about how they can't keep him, which basically means he's moving in.
