Lovey dogs, i'm very sorry to hear about your loss.We lost Murphy on the 14th of June this year.
Pretty much devastated the family, still gutted- was welling up trying to write this. House feels pretty empty without him.
He died of Kidney failure, pretty much slipped away within 3 days. Had a good innings though- was 13 comming up to 14 without any serious problems which is pretty good going for a Boxer.
Had the local Vet come out to our home to put him to 'sleep'.
That was much nicer that doing it at the Surgery.

he is stunning they are so loving, affectionate, are sure they are lap dogs and smile at you so much.
yes they are lovely and all have own personality.
lara, 2007 she suffered with a brain tumour but one vets were treating her for arthritus (sorry cant spell) it took months of telling them it was more than that and something more was wrong with her
Then January they sent her for MRI scan at a different vets and that day we were told the news... had about 2weeks to treat her and spoil her even more and had last Sunday family trip to the beach with all 6 of us, then on on the Wed it was time to take her to the vets and cuddle her as she went.
She came home and was buried.
people have pets and people have families,
mine are part of my family always
the children took to sleeping downstairs with her as she couldnt get up the stairs
returning home from last beach trip with her

[shameless plug]Some great photos on here . We ( Four Paws Animal Rescue) are running an online photo competition to raise funds for Bertie, a springer who has just had spinal surgery for a shattered disc. With the MRI scan and specialist treatment the bill came to £2,981.22. His rehabilitation is going well, but he understandably weak in his back end.
Competition closes tomorrow
His story is here

His Just Giving page is here
Thank you [/shameless plug]

Maggie - as a puppy (7 months old I think)
And as a 10 month old puppy.
She's a Labradoodle and utterly bonkers. Has flashes of intelligence but then reverts back to being mad. She's got some development to do and probably not quite fully grown. At the last visit to the vets she was weighed at 27KG's. She gets a good walk every day and utterly loves to play, though the desire to be in every single bit of water is getting to be a bit of a drag. Found a nice walk that takes me down to the river Avon that's nice - she likes to have a quick swim and it makes sure she doesn't get too smelly at least.
She is brilliant though. Utterly trustworthy, fantastic with children and doesnt steal, chew or do anything nasty. Though recall can be a little tough when one of her 'friends' is around to play with. Otherwise a fantastic dog.
