Bengals aren't really hypoallergenic but their coat type does seem to lessen (not stop) an allergic reaction for some, as in your wifes case which is good!

Mannginger was given appropriate advice, but has chosen to ignore it.

His call. His bill when they've either trashed his flat or been squished on the street outside since bengals have no road sense.
I didn't ignore the advice I built it into my decision making, and believe me you gave me nothing new that wasn't already there. That said, decisions are made on balance and, having spoken to a handful of breeders, owners, vets and Battersea not to mention the reading research that's been done I am comfortable with my decision.

I get that you don't like it, fair enough, but it's certainly not one that's been taken lightly or without considering any number of different factors and yes, there will be consequences to the decision but it's my judgement that the positive aspects of that decision comfortably outweigh any risks both for me and the cats.

As a new bengal owner it's great to read these columns. Our snow kitten is 14 weeks and is a bundle of mischief but also very affectionate. Seems to me poster has done his research and asked for advice which is what a responsible to be owner should do before getting a pet smile It's our 1st bengal (our much loved and missed rescue mog passed this year after 17 fab years) we are loving the experience but really he's just as hyper as our rescue cat was and equally as affectionate. Play, attention and climbing centres and you'll be on the right track. BTW all the pics are gorgeous!
