I've been busy this morning...new Tetratec EX1200 (filter), I put some of the old media from the Fluval 305 in it and I'll run the internal Fluval4 for a while too.
It is a bit taller than the old Fluval 305 so won't go in the cupboard, but then I knew that when I ordered it...My 2013 tank will be using two of these big boys
Is it not just so much simpler to run a sump?It is a bit taller than the old Fluval 305 so won't go in the cupboard, but then I knew that when I ordered it...My 2013 tank will be using two of these big boys

Just moved the Trigon 190 into its new space, so not set up properly yet. At least the fish are in
The fish came with the tank (bought the entire setup) but i can't bring myself to get rid of them even though i really want to set it up for Malawis. I love the Kribs though

Great looking fish you have in it, tbh it was a tough break for me to switch from community to Malawis (Mbuna) but I'm glad I did.
The Malawis are so much more interactive, they are real characters

Wow, those colours are amazing. All but on of our fish died recently, so we have put Frankie the turtle in the tank. He likes to climb up on his rock and sunbathe.
Thanks.
I've just removed the background sheet, I think it looks much better now

My first dabble with marines. 38l nano. Currently cycling. Will have reef spec par38 lighting, auto r/o water top system when ready for fish.
Looking at zoas and mushroom frags, red leg hermit crab and turbo snails. Not sure on fish, prob some sort of filefish.
On something that small I'd go for Pistol/Goby and small rock sitting goby. Just avoid anything fee swimming, always looks mean in a nano!Looking at zoas and mushroom frags, red leg hermit crab and turbo snails. Not sure on fish, prob some sort of filefish.
Far more interesting to get some cool inverts - pompom crabs are always fun.

Thanks.

something which I have seen that works well is just a plain blue vinyl background. A friend is making one up for me as I have an external filter so can see all the pipes behind which doesnt helpThanks.

Simplest is to paint the back of the tank - anything stuck on looks nasty after a while. Nothing worse than being able to see gear in the tank....apart from seeing gear behind it!
Is that 3 nems in the tank above? How are they doing/been running long? thats not a easy stocking choice!

The only problems I've had with the tank is feeding the sun coral and we had a royal gramma jump out, probably due to an SG drop when I got lazy with the top ups!Is that 3 nems in the tank above? How are they doing/been running long? thats not a easy stocking choice!
