Not long got a kitchen tank set up. Used to have a 45l on the breakfast bar, but when we got the main living room tank, the fish migrated to that.

Recently bought a Fluval Edge 23l, and after 8 weeks of cycling, put 20 crystal red (Bee) shrimps.

Although they are quite hard to see, here they are:

Good evening!
Finally fixed the light on my donated tank, allowed me to take a couple of really bad shots:

60l tank, filter, heater, airline and oxygenating plant.

Elusive Pleco.

I have 5 guppies (Silver body yellow tail), one harlequin rasbora (Left over from initial donation), one elusive pleco (Keith) and seven dragon tail guppies.

Very first tank, all feedback welcome!

Ok thank you, I was thinking of upgrading in the new year.
Do you have a rough guide for how large he is going to get and as to what size tank I should consider please?

Depends what species of plec. Some of them don't get much above six inches. Common or sailfin plecs can get over 18 inches long.

I'll keep an eye on him, thanks. I believe he is a common pleco.

It is a common plec (most likely P. pardalis), expect at least 12 inches in thr right conditions.

They st like crazy as well.

Hi All,

Wondering if someone could possible help / pop me in the right direction.

As you can see from the below (pictures) my tank is an absolute mess. I used to love going home to my fish (in a non creepy way) but now I look at the tank and walk away pretty quickly.

I fear I may know the answer to my own question, but I ended buying one of those AV Blue lights (for salt water) as they didn’t have a normal ones (tropical tank) and my tank seems to have crap everywhere now.

Is this a simple fix of getting two “normal” lights? I’ve done a water check, PH levels etc are all tip top.

I need that love back again!

Simon

Hi all, we have a Fluval Edge 46L (our first tank) which is currently sat on a set of drawers (pine, self assembly). I've always been aware of the weight of the tank and with us moving house in the near future I think that it's time to get a more sturdy piece of furniture/stand that will ensure it is safe and secure for the future.

I've seen the 'official' fluval stand, but I'm wondering if it would be a bit top heavy when stood on its end:

Do you have any other suggestions? Price range anything up to £75 and something that will fit well in a living room.

Many thanks, enjoying looking at the aquariums on here!

Well after searching online for a starter fish tank last night I ended up with these two chaps after they were been given away as the owner no longer wanted them. I haven't got a good picture of tank yet but it definitely needs some work and attention!

So seeing as I've finished decorating the kitchen and have the tank set-up, cleaned and stocked I thought I'd post some (bad) pictures up....I'll post up the pictures from the other tank to go in the hall when it's decorated and set-up...

Fish:

6 cardinal/neon tetra's
7 sunset swordtails
5 Dalmatian Molly's
3 yo-yo loaches
3 bristlenosed plec's
1 big finned fish that I have no idea what it is...

Some of the fish weren't intentional but the chav job had the tank had kept them in a bucket for a week and would have flushed them had I not....

They were settled with the fish I had prior in my tank at the parents whilst I sorted the decorating and cycled the tank thereafter with water from the established one.

Bad pic's:
