Planning ahead to next year as a friend and I have a significant birthday coming up early next year.

He'd like to do the Vallee Blanche and as I did it for my 40th I think it would be a good return visit. I know there are a few PHers with a good & deep knowledge of these things so, who should I talk to in Chamonix to make the most of this?

Thanks, I know it can be difficult to judge from some of the slick website that are out there but that one is extremely informative and having been once already, albeit 10 years ago, the key points do stick.

Absolutely! I used to climb with Rob at University and you honestly won't find a safer and more knowledgeable guide. The VB is one of those routes that a good guide can make all the difference as there are SOO many lines you could take dependent on experience and conditions. Rob will see you right.
