Firstly, I used the search to no avail and it seems there is very little info on the various forums.
I need the specifics of a good range hand held walkie talkie / two way radio for my Euro road trip later this year. I already own some of the cheap Binetone ones that are perfectly fine for a trip to the Ring and such like but the Eurotrip is different and needs to take into account the mountains and a fair bit of range the cheapies will not cope with.
I have previously been directed to a company called Audiolink , but they will only hire to business and not a private individual.
One company has provided a quote but states the latest stuff only has a range of 1-2 miles which I think is rubbish and have read of much greater range from a motorola handset. SO.......
Which model have you used before ? What was the range & did it perform how you wanted ? Who did you hire it from ? and were they any good / cheap ?? Was it easy to use ?
Any pointers or help gratefully received

With Vodafone you can now pay £3 per day and use your UK monthly allowance - no need for walkie talkies!
