As title, anyone stayed there? Looking at staying for one night but at £200 I want to make sure its worth it?
Cheers.

Used to stay there with work...
It's a nice enough hotel, breakfast is great, never had a problem there, rooms compact but decent and good bathrooms. There's a Raddison Blue and a Hyatt Regency just around the corner, avoid the thistle it's very tired and the food leaves a lot to be desired.
Speaking of food there's a cracking indian street food "cafe" on portman mews South... Roti Chai.
But 200 a night - ouch It doesn't even have a pool..
Simes.

As above, OK hotel, good-ish location, rooms are inconsistent - some are OK, others cramped (no baths in a few!), can take ages to check in. Bar is OK, food OK.
We dump people there for work, stayed there a few times myself. Don't pay £200 - we don't pay anything like that (nearer to £125 I recall), nor is it worth that much. Far nicer places to stay at that price level IMO.

Thanks for the replies guys, I think I'll do a bit more digging and see if I can get a better rate?

It's pretty poor.
The rooms are a bit crap, the foyer is like an airport check-in (huge, long queues and very noisy).
Unreliable service, long waits for room service too.
It's basically a big warehouse with beds.

At £200, it isn't worth it sorry. Stayed there a few times, with corporate functions. Try the Dorchester, or Mandarin Oriental for similar money.

I used to stay there a lot, a few years ago, not long after the re-fit and it was less than 100 quid a night - thought it was the best value/ quality/ location place about. A few years later and at more than twice the money, as the others have said - I suspect you could do a fair bit better!
