Mauritius 2013
Discussion
I am considering a trip to Mauritius for some time between March and June next year to celebrate my 40th birthday - am not bothered about being away on the actual day as I have something else planned for that weekend.
Priorities are:
- A nice place to relax
- Decent snorkeling / diving
- Golf nearby
- Good range of food
etc
I'm quite tempted by Le Touessrok for say 4 days (free golf at the Berhard Langer course) and then 4 days at the Four Seasons Anahita (free golf at the Ernie Els course) or Le Prince Maurice (free golf at the Belle Mare Plage on the Links / Legends courses).
I heard that Le Touessrok was getting a bit run down a few years ago but think it has been refurbished since then? I know that Le Prince Maurice has recently re-opened after a re-vamp.
Any other comments /feedback gratefully received!

It's 'been about 6 years since I was at Le Touessrok and it was still very nice... if that's any help

I stayed at le Touessrok last year for 9 nights at the end of my honeymoon. We thought it was excellent and we would definitely go back again.
It was all nicely decorated and looked in good shape. The restaurants were all excellent as well.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived from Cape Town at about midnight and they had left us a platter of food in case we were hungry. Nothing was too much trouble for them day or night.
I didn't get to play on the course but it certainly looked good.
A lot of the reviews we read were complete nonsense. Some people reviewed it based on walking down the driveway and having a quick look in.
