was a while back now but we had one of our group not show up, was no contact made and no extra charges etc

the way i see it..if you tell them the greedy lot will keep your money and charge someone else for that seat

yes Hotel chains play this game, had a crazy experience with Travelodge recently which disinclines me to ever tell them I won't be turning up for a room.

You should count yourself lucky. Virgin has gone way downhill recently and I'd rather swim than use them.
What was your experience then? I flew with them to Washington last week, and they were as good as they've always been. New-ish plane as well. Seat-back entertainment was the best I've yet seen, flight was on time (early, actually), comfortable, food was good, staff were excellent.

Do remember TWA.....it stood for "Try walking Across"......and Sabena.... "Such a Bloody Experience Never Again"....and that was oh so true.

OP.....just don't rock up.
