Does anyone know an effective way of searching for last minute deals when you don't have a specific destination in mind?

I've not found any websites that allow you to search a given date range, and departure location without wanting you to specify a destination too. The closest I've found is to use something like skyscanner then add the hotel afterward (which you can only do on a case by case basis, so not very quick)

Also, does anyone have any experience of arranging a very last minute break (probably a city break), ie with hours of notice, rather than days or weeks?

Thanks in advance!

I've done this in the past and there are a few last minute holiday firms on t'internet that, in the list of destinations, have a "surprise me" option. Can't think of the names offhand but keep looking.

Not many, this is what scuppers us a lot of the time. Frequently we have resorted to the travel agents and as a result have been places we may not have thought of; Corsica, Sri Lanka and an activity holiday in Greece.

Otherwise, online places that do allow a better random options are on the beach and teletext holidays.
