Every year we go to cornwall and the last couple of years we have gone to this place in Hayle http://www.stivesbay.co.uk

Now it is brilliant, cheap, nice and clean with a great sea view and facilities, pool etc and its only a few miles from the lovely St Ives which I love but the only problem is the drive from Manchester especially as we have a little lad with and it normally takes up to 7 hours.

Can anyone recommend a park in Devon thats nice, clean with decent facilities that wont break the bank thats close to a nice town.

To be honest I dont know Devon at all and wouldn't know where is nice and where isn't.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers.

How about ruda in croyde?
http://www.parkdeanholidays.co.uk/devon-holidays/r...

Pretty much on the beach, couple of pubs in the village, woolacombe/saunton beaches nearby

Challaborough bay near Plymouth http://www.parkdeanholidays.co.uk/devon-holidays/c...

Or there's butlins in minehead which is about a hour from junction 25, m5 although not sure i'd like to holiday there.

Have a look at the River Dart Country Park? My Sister's Kids love it apparently.

Not sure what types of accomodation are avialable though, they took their T4 Camper from memory, but there's certainly loads of options in the area - maybe use the park for activities and stay elsewhere?

Also, a lot of Devon isn't really going to save you a great deal of time in the grand scheme of things given your journey, but this place at least has the advantage of being mainly reached via M5 and A38 Devon Expressway. After Buckfastleigh it all gets a bit more windy and slow...

A38 is a great road!

Cheers - Nick.

Whitehill at Brixham is very good. Even though we live in Devon, we went there for a week last July. So good in fact, we are booked to return this July.

Twitchen.

Also look for owner caravans on all parks. They tend to be better value for money for the same standard of caravans.

Website I advertise on is http://www.directholidayhomes.co.uk/lettings.aspx

Another vote for Ruda, Croyde is my favourite pace to go in the UK.
