g3org3y's JAPAN Trip - Pics/Write up +++
Discussion
Thanks all. Your positive comments and feedback make the effort in writing it worthwhile.
I will endeavour to complete the Germany Road Trip write up in the next couple of weeks. Rome will follow after that (hopefully the trip will go well).
A few years back, my friends and I did one of those charity rally trips in this:
Alan Partridge Rover
Stopped off in Laon, Thun, Locarno, Venice, Verona, Lake Garda, Innsbruck, Munich, Frankfurt, the Nurburgring and Brussels. I don't think I ever did a proper write up of events (I'm sure I have some photos somewhere) - could do that at some point if anyone is interested.

Great write up and some lovely pics. I get a feel for what it's like, and importantly how easy it is to get around. I must admit that I've never really fancied it until now, but reading you're write up it is starting to appeal.
My son is off to China on a school trip, wonder what he'll make of that....maybe if he likes it we can add Japan on our places to go list.

Many thanks for all the positive feedback. As mentioned, it is very much appreciated
No issues in Japan taking shots, only place I've ever had issues is Morocco. However, with some of the shots I got out there it was worth it.

I wonder how you go about taking pictures of people - do you just snap away, or ask first ?
Long lens and snap away. Most of my best shots have been when sitting down somewhere for a period and taking the time out to 'people watch'. You can see where people are coming from and where they are going so you can try and predict where to position yourself to get a good shot. You can't be afraid to run to get in position for the photo!No issues in Japan taking shots, only place I've ever had issues is Morocco. If you are willing to give some idea of overall costs, that would be very interesting.
Off to Rome tomorrow, will look into it and update when I get back.Gassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
