Booked up to go for 16 days in October. Managed to get return First flights on BA using miles/companion. Flying in and our of Narita.

Got a draft itinerary booked:
Tokyo
Japanese Alps
Kyoto
Hiroshama / Miyajima
Hakone
Tokyo

Also just seen the Tokyo motorshow is on while we are there which should be a cool day out.

Could do with some tips on the Japanese Alps as there is loads of different towns and I don't know where the best to use as a base?

Any other tips would be much appreciated!
