We are driving back from Bridport to Oxford next Monday and wondered if anyone had any must do / see stops on the way or just off route for a family with a 4 yr old?

I can't help with your query but get out of town quick, my sister lives in Bridport near the Odd Man pub , her ex partner used to have a stall selling CDs , tapes , records etc down Cable Street he's an ex teacher and a right know it all.
She models herself on Peggy Lee and wears wide brimmed hats , steer clear !!

Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop near Salisbury.

Fleet Arm Air museum at Yeovilton.

Haynes Motor Museum near Yeovil too.

Moors Valley Country Park for kiddie running around just off the A31 between Bournemouth and Ringwood (not really on the direct cross country route)

Thanks guys, keep them coming.
Longleat sounds good. The reason we are going is for me to pick up a new AV processor so I need to find something for the family to compensate them!
