We're looking to book a holiday to AN Other Greek Island and so far the ones with flights that match our travel dates are as above. Never having been to any Greek Isle before I'd appreciate any thoughts, places to stay, must sees etc? We want a reasonably chilled holiday but nothing too out of the way - some tavernas, shops etc would be good to mooch around in.

Done a fair few of the Greek Islands and chunks of the mainland, and although not been to Thassos yet from your list I'd head off to Crete, and specifically Elounda. Choose one of the many nice hotels and chill.

We stayed at Aquila Villages but there are plenty of lovely places there.

Can't comment on Thassos as it's one of the few Islands I haven't visited.

Another recommendation for Elounda, Crete. If you fancy trying Corfu, then I would recommend the North of the Island.

Never been to the other two but I can also highly recommend Elounda on Crete having been there twice.

That looks very nice - what was the town/local area like/ Whilst we want relaxing and unchavvy we don't want to be in the middle of nowhere smile

Crete is quite a large Island, plenty to do and see, from one end to the other.

If you go to Corfu, take a day (coach) excursion over the water to Albania...like going back in time.

Ive been to crete twice in the last two years. We stayed in the impreial belvedere in hersonissos both times. Good price for a week all inclusive. Its close to hersonissos town centre and harbour and close to a small village with lost of nice bars and places to eat. Malia is also a short taxi ride away if you want that sort of thing but not close enough to bother you if you don't. We're going to try Kos this year. Looks great.

The village (Koutouloufari) was about a 5 minute walk, there was a nice few restaurants/bars, nothing chavvy whatsoever.

The main (Hersonissos) at the bottom of the hill was about a 15 - 20 minute walk, that had all the holiday tat you need. It was far enough away, not to worry about though, but close enough to go to the beach if you wanted.

I would go the Creta Blue again, it was fantastic.
