Gatwick Hotels - any experiences?

Need to stay overnight at Gatwick in August for another flight. Flying into North Terminal, but leaving from South.

Any recommendations for a nice, decent, cheapish hotel? I take it the distance between North and South terminals aren't worth worrying about when booking a hotel?

Thanks, saw that thread, but seemed to be more focused on people needing to park a car, which I don't need! Cheers for your recommendations on there though, will look into them!

Stanhill Court Hotel or Langshott Manor are the only two hotels worth considering .

We stay at Premier Inn by the North Terminal,then just hop on the shuttle bus that bobs between the terminals.It has a restaurant on site and an all you can eat buffet breakfast to fill up on.

If you can get it for a reasonable price the Sofitel is excellent, way better than the Hilton and in the terminal too. The Premier Inn is new, so quite pleasant and usually good value and a very short walk to the terminal.

Hilton Gatwick are doing a deal now with the main car park so you keep your keys. Personally I like being able to walk into the airport when I want and not be waiting on a transfer.

Bed was b awful last time we stayed, clean but knackered.

Another plug for the Premier Inn at N Terminal. Great value for money and v close.

Hilton Gatwick is often one of the secret hotels on LastMinute.com (it is not too hard to work out) at reasonable prices.
