Outstanding, thank you for taking the time out to take/upload the pics and do the write up. I know how time consuming it is. thumbup

Some great shots there of really interesting America, very inspiring. Exactly the kind of trip I'd love to do at some point. Keep it up. cool
You post some great stuff yourself! I have done a lot of Euro running and will hopefully do a lot more.

Doh, missed this one. Another fantastic read mate, thanks for posting it.
I'm doing Vegas back to Ohio in the Raptor in October, haven't decided where to link up with 66 yet as we'd like to take in some of Colorado too, but I can't wait to see some of the sights you've posted about in the various trips you've done smile

Enjoy the trip Bad Company, get a thread up! Always enjoy reading US road trip threads smile

We were a bit disappointed to find the 'Launching Pad' closed and for sale. Lets hope new owners can be found.

Its one of the sadly inevitable parts of the 66 experience. If you check Route 66 News on the web it is very current and often has great little videos...

I am going to put this stuff in order in the next while and post it here as a sort of guide. Right now there are muliiple trips, but it would e useful to have it all sequentially. Raptor is a sensational piecer of kit.

We did go up the arch. It was ok but as you say better viewed from outside.

Not sure the St Louis Cardinals fans appreciated me referring to their game as 'rounders'. biggrin

Off to Springfield, MO tomorrow.

Lots of good stuff in Oklahoma. My next stop there will be Arcadia, which is where the made SandHills curiosity shop and the POPS soda fountain reside. Not photographed yetsmile

Greetings from Gallup, NM.

A tip for anybody doing Route 66, buy your EZ guide in the states or from the Association NOT AMAZON. Amazon are still selling the 2011 version and there are considerable changes in the new 2013 v3.
