Rather than questioning the sanity behind spending £9.99 for 3 logs to burn in the middle of a forest, shouldn't you be questioning the sanity of going to one of those god awful places in the first instance?
Yeah I know, but I didn't choose it.
It's a family thing, and sometimes it's just easier to go with the flow!
One of the other guys coming with us likes a drink so we can enjoy a beer or 3 while the ladies take the kids on the slides.
Possibly by the fire.....laugh

We took a sack of coal. Nobody died.

Used to go when kids were young and took electric heater. Central heating is on a timer that assumes you're out in day and not up half the night with babies.

Great place for family hols.

I'm done with the UK parcs. But the one in Holland which is no further away, half the price, chav free, and has an indoor real snow ski centre; much better smile

I don't recall those fake logs either over there. Can't see the dutch putting up with that nonsense.
The one at Zandvoort certainly had the logs, so much so that when we went to the Center Parcs near the Nurburgring, I packed a box full. German Center Parcs have no open fire !!

We're trying a brand new one this summer, near Saarbrucken, opens 1st July, we're there first week in August <crosses fingers>

You are kidding aren't you?
No. I didn't say it was really nice or upmarket, but the attitude of a lot of the people who go there is that is is a cut above everything else. Like they are at their own personal country club or something.

My last holiday was at Sandy Balls (laugh) and that makes Centreparcs look like something really special!

I take the ones from costco, £20 for 12. And they are bigger too! The centre parcs ones are a rip off, as is most things at centre parcs!
