Hi

We are off to Kalkan soom and I was wondering if anyone on here had got a Turkish massage whilst over there?

Without resorting the inevitable smut regarding 'happy endings' smile, can anyone report back if they had had a treatment?

I would be interested in having one myself whilst over there.

I remember my brother did on a holiday in Bodrum once.

He said he'd never felt like a rag doll before, but the guy doing the massage threw him around and he felt very "vulnerable", was his explanation.

He was speaking a pitch higher when he returned home....

This can only end with the "Show me on the doll where the nasty man touched you" question being asked!

Had a Turkish Bath (including Massage) in Marmaris years ago - was extermely relaxed afterwards!

Sauna, cold water room, beaten with a pillow case filled with soap suds, then exfoliating scrub down, and then Sauna again, and finally the massage.

Was well worth it!!

(But I do agree to being thrown about like a rag doll, and i'm 6'4" and not exactly light lol!!)

Had a full Turkish in Istanbul a few years ago, was given the choice of a soft massage or a hard one. I opted for the hard one and was thoroughly put upon.

Walked like Ozzy the rest of the day with every part of me hurting.

Went to bed and go up in the morning feeling amazing.

Totally worth it....

Lykia spa is the best, then for a sports massage try Atlantis. New guy there this year, very good. Price circa 35 pounds per hr.

I heard on the news that someone in Turkey got a really good massage...as they were robbed. Can't generalise though.
I have no useful contribution to this thread, if I'm honest. wink

I visited a hammam in Morocco (where I was scrubbed to within an inch of my life and never felt cleaner).

The only off-putting thing being having to trudge through soap scum and other people's dead skin en route to The Slab.

If you are going to the Hamman do it on your first day if you can, it helps to set you up for the week but most important having your sunburn being scrubbed is always a killer.
