Not always. In fact, never from the NW.

Have always been the same prices as direct from Virgin Trains, but no booking fees if you book direct with Virgin.

All the prices will be the same. Sometimes an operator will push their own 'super saver' on their website better...

Eastcoast gives reward points (no matter whose route the travel is on). Otherwise it's all in the fees.

Ticket for where to where? Single or return? Time of travel? Can greatly affect the answer.
Thetrainline charges extra fees that other outlets don't, so I would never recommend them. They have been sanctioned by advertising standards for misleading adverts.
