Easy jet demanding 6 months of passort validity....true?

Can anyone confirm what the situation is regarding passports and easyjet?

I read a month or 2 back that they were demanding 6 months validity after your return, or they denied boarding.

I know France doesn't require this, but easyjet do (or did)

Is this the case?

Anyone point me in the right direction?

It's not Easyjet's fault it is a requirement of most countries' immigration laws.

It is not a requirement within the EU, EasyJet is wrong to request this but they can make their own rules up.

Dont you need atleast 6 months on your passport to travel to Spain? (mainland and Spanish island) perhaps other countries are now doing the same and Easyjet have now made it part of there policy

They don't require this.

Just back from Mallorca with less than 4 months validity on passport with Easyjet. No issues.

I don't see how they can. If your passport is legally valid, how exactly are they going to stop you without breaching the contract?
