I used to do the 7am flights out of LHR twice a week, so I have the right to feel smug...

Just got back from Hong Kong where I was working for a week. I've come back with a huge cold -- I always thought it was a myth about the heat/sweating and then air conditioning but it is the only thing I can attribute it to.

Premium on the way out (upgraded, flight was oversold) and economy on the way back.

Monday, Up at 3:30 leave house at 4, 6:05 "3.14key" Air flight out of Stansted to Stockholm, fly back Thursday or Friday night. Repeat every week.

Usually it's leaving home at 06:00, 10min drive to the airport, board flight from LUX to LCY at 06:25 - probably once a week, every week, then back on the 18:25 or 19:40 from LCY to LUX the same day.

Fortunately I get very good treatment from the local flag carrier as I'm a very frequent traveller. Also, since the airport's small, I can be parked and then walked to the gate in <10mins.

I've a couple of long hauls coming up in the Autumn: NY & Chicago for 3 days, then 3 weeks later, Singapore & Honkers for 1 week.

Ouch, 3.30 start is tough. I struggled with 5 this morning.
