Usally 06.00 Aberdeen - Amsterdam or the 06.00 Aberdeen to CDG on a Saturday or Sunday to get me down to Lousiana to go offshore on the monday, always sucks at that time! lounge access in Amsterdam always improves things

I was on that two weeks ago. I'm only 5 minutes from City so had another 30 minutes in bed than you.
Me too, however ValueCabs are becoming more and more unreliable

Ah, I have my parking paid for. One of the few perks of PAYE I guess.

I must be a little odd... I choose red-eye flights above all others.
I was forced to fly DXB to LHR on a daytime flight a couple of weeks ago and have sworn that I'll change the day I fly before I do a daytime flight again.

Thankfully the return journey was the normal overnight flight, though on Qantas this time... the on board lounge isn't as good as EKs so I got myself 5hrs of decent shut eye instead.

Already booked my next return - leaves DXB at 02:20 thankfully.

Im with you.. rather a night flight than a day flight, such a waste of a day.

get to airport, quick drink and a bite to eat, onto the plane, asleep in 30 mins, wake up other end, into the arrivals lounge for a shower and breakie and back in the office at 8am.

it does help work pay for it... no way i would do it in cattle. that said BA first is rubbish compared to the others.

Interesting you think that... I always thought BA first (new first as they call it) to be very good.... I've flown EK extensively in F and I still prefer BA.. I will grant you that AA in F is a joke and Singapore in F are probably the best but BA's not that bad!

Sadly my company only pay for J so any F flights are on my own dime.

Flew First to SFO last Wednesday and returned Monday. This was after returning from New York the weekend before (Virgin Upper on a day flight). It was the old First which, as agreed with the sitting in front, is more comfortable than the new First although IFE seriously dated.

It's amazing how quickly IFE systems move on.... when I started flying in F on BA the IFE consisted of a little Sony personal VHS machine that they brought to your seat with a choice of a dozen or so movies..... what's amazing is that was only 5 years ago!

Yes, I remember that. Always felt a bit awkward asking for Fantasy Fetish 3.

Standsted... Deep joy, I feel for you.

A sign I have fly too much and given them way too much money is the guys at BA gave me the direct number to the Duty Office manned 24/7 in the UK, as I am always needing to change my flights for work reasons. So a call from the US at 4am UK time call, flights changed in 3 mins. Screw having to go through the BAEC with the wait, Indians font line you have to get past to speak to someone who can do anything, and sorry, it is after 8pm call tomorrow BS....
