Holiday park recommendations in Dorset or Devon
Discussion
The Chief clan went to St Ives Bay in Cornwall back at the beginning of July and it was fantastic http://www.stivesbay.co.uk
The park was super organised, the caravan clean and the facilities were great but above all it was very reasonable. (less than 300 quid for a week) But and its a but its a damn long drive away with the little lad so we have been looking at holiday parks in Devon and possibly Dorset.
Can anyone recommend a park with good facilities, is clean but reasonably priced ( so no Centre Parcs) and is just a nice place to go?
I am to be honest struggling finding a better park but i'm sure they do exist in Devon.
Thanks in advance

Have a look at Oakdene, edge of New Forest/Ringwood but also close to Poole & Bournemouth.

Reading previous replies fail
No I read previous replies - just giving an option on the fact he could go to any local beach area as Oakdene is around 10 miles from some good beaches and also close to the New Forest. As a location for exploring the area it is probably one of the better located caravan parks. Also, the website is a generic site for other caravans all over the country, the link is specific to mine, there is no reason why he cant look at others on the site.

You dont need to sell it to me, Im well aware how nice Oakdene is or I wouldnt have suggested it in the first place, its just the OP had already said the site is not for him. Or were you just more interested in advertising your caravan? Also, the website is a generic site for other caravans all over the country, the link is specific to mine, there is no reason why he cant look at others on the site.

I am not trying to sell anything to you just indicating potential benefits to the OP of the site location.I have indicated a website where my caravan is, by linking to it and mentioning my advert on here. The website also has other caravans and maybe useful to the OP.
Sorry for trying to be helpful.

We have taken our grandchildren to Ruda Holiday Park Croyde Bay Devon (www.parkdeanholidays.co.uk)highly recommended. We all loved the place, very well run, something for ALL ages. Its 100yds from a beautiful beach and if the weather is poor it has an indoor "water parc".
Gets my vote as well. We stayed last month at Warmwell Holiday Park - a Parkdean place. It was lovely - deer roaming around - lots of fishing lakes (if that's your thing), a dry ski slope and my 8 and 5 year olds loved it.
We had a basic lodge (due to the mutt) and it was very clean and everything worked! Weymouth is 8 miles away and all in all a great time had by all.

Freshwater park, Burton Bradstock near Bridport. Although I have not stayed here, I've visited a few times and it seems clean, well organised and with good facilities for all the family. It's right on the beach (see the Broadchurch series for details, Pauline Quirk's character lived in a static home there). As well as the beach and great Dorset open air, there's a pretty good pool/10 pin bowling/bar/disco complex.
