Does anyone know any decent holiday companies for a short term xmas break? say Berlin Bruge etc, by air. 2 nights for the xmas markets?
i tried looking at the local travel agents and looking myself at the airlines but its stil quite expensive.

Munich is the best one. It doesn't get much more traditional Christmas than there since it's where Prince Albert imported our traditional Christmas from.

Ryanair fly direct from Manchester.

We live on the South Coast so its a car trip.

Last year we went to Brussels, huge maket, lots to see, easy to park, but ther city itself not great.

Then went to Brugge to stay, smaller chrimbo market but lovely. Try the Garre bar...

Brugge only 1hr drive from Calais.

Take into account that flying you'll have limited baggage allowance for stuff you've bougth.

Munich. Ive got the wige coming over for the first weekend of the Xmas market and staying in the Sof.

Commuting locals tip: avoid the bufgets and just fly Lufthansa. Its within a few pounds on price and much nicer. Its cheapest to fly from Brum. Dont bother buying a Ubahn ticket at the airport, just buy a zones 1-4 card from Marianplatz or Haupt. Stay in the Innerstadt aswell. Munich is wonderful, oh and its already started snowing!

Wouldn't rule out other places, Cologne is also excellent, and Nuremberg is probably the most famous.
