|Nice hotel Portsmouth or near

Hi looking for a nice hotel for an evening in or near Portsmouth. We will be visiting the Mary Rose and Victory. Either a boutique in town or a country house.

It would have to have a good bistro type restaurant or some reasonable eateries near by (nothing too formal we like Asian, European & Fish places)

I don't know Portsmouth so any recomendations very welcome?

Im a Pompey fan from just outside Pompey originally.
Hes right,definitely Chichester,its lovely,Pompey isnt,well it wasnt when I lived there.
If you have too,stop somewhere around gunwharf if you like modern sortve seafront things.

Thanks chaps. We may stay in the New Forest. We like Chichester it's just going a little the wrong way and I know what the rush hour traffic is like.

G! Boutique is pretty good but is not a massive place.
