Don't know where it is, but there's something very wrong with the symmetry of that building. Almost as if the builders misread the drawings and hoped no one would notice.

Having had no idea except I knew the architecture and your indicating it was South of the border I looked it up, so I'm out, but I'm sure somebody would recognise it from a picture taken across the lake.

Is it Powerscourt House? Been past the gate plenty of times but never felt like stumping up the entrance fee.

It is! The house isn't worth anything much but the view and the gardens are (or at least were 27 years ago when I was there!)

I'd go with the Vienna suggestion, it's the Danube tower at Donuterm(sp?)/Danube City - in Vienna.
