Not much to go on, but judging by the queue I'd say it's not the US. smile

It's odd, there are trans atlantic elements to it, but then factors that look non-US, such as - as said - the queueing. Makes me wonder about Canada but I doubt thats right. After all places like Lake Louise and Whistler are very US-like.

Yep, not US. This was half term week Feb 14.

The big clue is the soft drink brand being advertised on the red flags.

Argh, I got one wrong too! Drat.

Ok, I'll take it from your message that no-one's going to have a stab.

It's Slovenia. Resort is called Krvavec, 20 mins from Ljubljana, but I'd have taken the country.

I thought people would start with "Alps" and narrow it down from there, but never mind.

I'll open the thread to the floor, next picture from anyone please.

Is it any good for skiing? It looks better than I though Slovenia would look for it.

It's great for beginners and intermediate. I expect someone more advanced would get bored quickly, the resort I stayed at wasn't particularly huge. Good value accommodation though, cheaper than French Alps by quite some margin (but not as cheap as Bosnia, which is a brilliant skiing secret).

The best bit about Krvavec is that it's 20 minutes form Ljubljana airport, the bloke who picked us up in the hotel minibus said it's the closest ski resort to London in terms of travel time. Lots of low cost flights go there too from the UK.

Just fine. My two (9 and 6 yrs old) went in it this year and enjoyed themselves, and progressed well. It was their second trip and by the end of the week my 6 year old girl was overtaking me and doing the highest lifts and slopes, no bother. English speaking teachers easily found.

Kids had a blast the whole time.
