No it's not.

Quarry used to extract marble between late C18th and early C20th.

This course isn't a destination in itself, although some seek this one and others like it out.

There is an infinitely more important reason for people to visit this location from all over the World (apart from the Corncrakes, too smile)

Not entirely, you have Skye marble from in and around Torrin.

I've no idea what the "Ibrox" hint further up is alluding to though.

We've left Skye and the Ibrox reference was just me being silly.

Just for the record there is no limestone on this island AFAIK - rocks are igneous, BUT there is substantial calcium in some form, which has had a significant impact, not least on this golf course & the surrounding area. So much so it has a special name...

It's not Ailsa and it's curling stones is it?

No, it's not Ailsa Craig, which AFAIK is just a big lump of rock without a par 3 golf course in sight.

No, but we're progressing in broadly the correct direction. You might want to re-examine your working definition of spirit...
