Going by the website address it is Swiss, but I know no more than that.

Should have looked at that picture more closely... Yes it is in Switzerland.

It's the old Eaux Vives gare in Geneva, now replaced by a tramway to get to Annemasse.

Brings back memories smile

Yes! I took the train from there a few years back. The whole station was almost abandoned. I think that the sncf had given up maintaining it. Very odd experience. Did you commute to Geneva?

Those are portable hotels - I've seen them at Silverstone
And that's where this one is. A novel way to spend a night, the only good thing being that if you want to be very close to Silverstone you can't beat it for that.

So 'nice', perhaps from that perspective, but grim from any other!
Me and the missus stayed in it at Goodwood last year, glad if didn't have a dead cat to swing as there wasn't room!

I used to live in the Pays de Gex, but know the area well.

So are you going to post something yourself now? If not let us know and someone else will.

OK, mountain theme (guess the refuge).

The toilets are sort of rustic!

Hmmm, your use of the word refuge cuts down the first though that it's on a ski resort. The only one I can think of that is a refuge is one up the Mont Blanc, but that's a tube with a red end which doesn't look much like this I guess....

Mont Blanc Massif, but not the Gervasutti as you mention.

On the Chamonix side, yes. It's the Grands Mulets refuge (which is now a bit of a climb from the glacier)
