No, it's a well dressing, a mark of celebration of the purity of waters coming out of wells at the time of the Black Death, it originated from the place this one was at (there's a new one every year) but also now in quite a few villages around.

Yes, we are back in Derbyshire, not Eyam, the well dressing is more about celebrating not getting it whereas Eyam was the one place that did.

I doubt anyone will get closer than that though, this one is at Tissington.

Ha - funnily enough I've been to Tissington many years ago to do a sponsored walk on the Tissington Trail, but you're right, we'd (OK I'd) have been casting around for a long time.

Well I don't think it's Barcelona unless it's out on the edges. I know Madrid less well but it doesn't look familiar.
