Got the same snaps. It was interesting that they remade all the fittings on the refurb, quite a piece of engineering. The outside is pretty but the meat of it in there.

Anyway.

I agree, i've been a few times, the first time i went you could still get to the crown.

I agree, i've been a few times, the first time i went you could still get to the crown.
We booked the crown tickets in advance and it was just re opened after the flood damage. There were numerous people wandering around muttering oaths because they did not realise they had to get the crown tickets in advance, even though they were free, but for me, the engineering bit was the most interesting.

I was only up there in June, but as you say, it is quite distinctive.
