Very dodgy link between New Orleans and this place but that might side track the thought. Films maybe the way to go if you follow that thinking though, mid 1970's perhaps.

Actually Universal Studio's, Florida the "Jaws" ride
people sit in a boat and a rather plastic "shark" pop's
out of the water about half way around.

So, film set, not quite
