A friend and myself are booked to go to France next Tuesday via Eurotunnel.

He has just rather splendidly found out that his passport has expired, and is rabbiting on about visas and the French Embassy.

Is there any way he can get his passport renewed before next Tuesday?

Thanks!

I got an express daily one done last year, just before Le Mans hehe

Costs a bit more at around 130GBP but really great service, I was shocked at a government department knowing what they were doing tbh.

Mine was done by Victoria

Thanks - but 'express daily passport' isn't doing much in Google... more info/links please!

Phone 0300 222 0000 and they will tell you what's possible - it's the government Passport advice line open to 8pm

She did mine too. Lovely smile, and she reminds me of someone famous, just can't place who.

How far out of date is it? I've rarely had my passport checked on the way out. Could you not just wing it, and hope for the best.

I don't know; however he's not the sort to take a risk with the Frog authorities. The 'emergency' service doesn't operate on bank holidays so he's picking it up on Tuesday and we'll lose a day of holiday.

Thanks all for the useful info smile
